SPAN: An organization committed to ending violence against adults, youth and children

SPAN which stands for Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence,  is a human rights organization committed to ending violence against adults, youth and children through support, advocacy, education and community organizing.

KGNU’s Phoebe Donovan spoke with Anne Tapp, the executive director at SPAN, about the organization’s mission and the programs they offer. Some of the programs SPAN offers include transitional housing, school-based education, counseling services and court-based support for victims who need assistance through the civil or criminal legal systems.
