Not a Luxury is a neo-afro-blues band from Denver, Colorado. They perform their debut album "Follow the Thread", which was released on August 8, 2025. The five-member band combines modern instrumentation (guitar, bass, keys and drum kit) with traditional west-African percussion. Their work focuses on the revolutionary nature of the creative process, both personally and communally. In the face of financial and social pressures, they keep returning to their intuitions and remembering to prioritize creation over consumption.
