Widen your scope about the role of the polar regions for climate. Discover different approaches to addressing climate change based on community needs. Learn about programs that educate and activate youth leadership to foster attitudes and behaviors that benefit a healthy world.

Join Margie Turrin and Leilani Raashida Henry, your host on Connections, for a robust dialogue about how what's happening in the the polar regions shape our climate.



Margie Turrin is Director of Educational Field Programs at Columbia Climate School's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. Over the last 25 years she has worked on developing meaningful science educational programs, built around data and experiences that share stories about our Earth system. She has spent time working in both the Arctic and Antarctic which has led to her focus to improve literacy about changing climate and the polar regions, and the creation of the Polar Climate Ambassadors Program. She is currently part of the Antarctic International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration. Contact Margie at [email protected]
