Sensi: Marijuana news – tax revenue from cannabis

Newly released data from the Colorado Department of Revenue shows that sales of recreational and medicinal cannabis in 2015 reached $996,184,788.

That means the marijuana industry paid $135 million in marijuana taxes and fees in 2015. More than $35 million of which is earmarked for school construction projects, as per provisions in Amendment 64.
