On Tuesday night at the Denver Art Museum about 200 people gathered for a candlelight vigil to welcome the runners who were participating in the healing run to commemorate the 150 year anniversary of the Sand Creek Massacre. The runners left the site of the massacre in Eads, in southern Colorado on Saturday and they arrived in Denver last night. This is the 16th year the run has taken place and is a commemoration for victims and survivors of the massacre, and for healing of ancestral homelands.
