Ruby Lopez: Queer Joy and Community Resilience

Meet Ruby Lopez. Ruby currently serves as  QTPOC (Queer and/or Trans People of Color) Programming and Spanish Access Coordinator and so much more at OutBoulder County.

Ruby is starting her second year at the Equality Center of the Rockies in Boulder and has done intensive community building. Her background in the environment, dance, equity, and community building has allowed her to bring people together for healing nature walks, reclaiming hetero-normative dance, fun and informative cultural gatherings and celebrations, and discussion.

Ruby recently expanded  her dance activities to  create  the Orgullo Queer Afro and Latin Dance Club.

She believes in advocacy and queer joy as a way to build community resilience in these tense and troubled  political times for trans people.  To learn more, listen in and then check out the latest events @OBC_QTPOC or find her at https://outboulder.org
