Remembering Dr. Theo Colborn

For nearly 30 years Dr. Theo Colborn dedicated herself to revealing the dangers of endocrine disrupting chemicals to wildlife and humans. More recently she focused her attention on the threats posed by chemicals associated with oil and gas development. She wove the two together in her statement The Fossil Fuel Connection, which she worked on until the day she died. Dr. Colborn founded The Endocrine Disruption Exchange which focuses primarily on the human health and environmental problems caused by low-dose and/or ambient exposure to chemicals that interfere with development and function, called endocrine disruptors. Dr. Colborn lived in Paonia Colorado and died on Sunday December 14th at the age of 87. In 2012 she spoke with KGNU’s Remy Kachadourian about her concerns over fracking.
