Red Cross Film Series

“Films have an ability to tell the stories of those silenced by violence and oppression.”

The American Red Cross of Colorado has launched a new film series that aims to examine the complex humanitarian issues that arise in relation to armed conflict. The Red Cross International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Film Series debuted with a showing of “Romeo and Juliet in Sarajevo” on Thursday, July 30, at the Colorado Red Cross regional headquarters in Denver.

The series continues on the second Thursday of every month with an August screening of Hotel Rwanda.  Connor Donaldson, an intern with the Red Cross in International Humanitarian Law says the idea behind the series is to spark a community conversation. Each film will be followed by a discussion on the issues raised in the film.
