Primary Election Results

Jared Polis and Walker Stapleton will face off in November’s gubernatorial race. Polis got nearly 45% of the Democratic votes in the primary with Cary Kennedy getting 25% of votes, Mike Johnston getting 23% and Donna Lynne getting 7%.

Less than an hour after the polls closed at 7pm, the Associated Press declared Stapleton the winner in the Republican race with almost 48% percent of the votes.

In the Boulder County District Attorney Race, Mike Dougherty beat out Mike Foote with 60% of the votes. There is no Republican challenger for November’s race.

In the Attorney General Democratic primary, latest update with 97% of counties reporting, 6/27/2018 11:47 AM MDT, Phil Weiser leads Joe Salazar 50.78% (281,554) to 49.22% (272,899.)

 

Congressional Races:

In Colorado’s 1st Congressional District Democratic primary, Diana DeGette got almost 71% of the vote with challenger Saira Rao getting 29%.  Degette has represented Colorado’s first congressional district for 22 years, and, as noted by the Colorado Independent was facing what many thought was her toughest opponent in years.

In Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District Democratic primary, Joe Neguse got 66% of the vote and Mark Williams got 34%.

In Colorado’s 4th Congressional District Democratic primary, Karen McCormick got 64.66% of the vote and Chase Kohne got 35.4%

In Colorado’s 6th Congressional District Democratic primary, Jason Crow defeated Levi Tillemann by an almost 2 to one margin.  Tilleman had released a tape recording showing that the Democratic Party had already chosen to back Crow before the primary.
