Presence and grief during crisis with writer Terry Tempest Williams Abby O'Brien

KGNU’s Abby O’Brien sat down with writer Terry Tempest Williams to discuss her new book, “The Glorians: Visitations from the Holy Ordinary.” Tempest Williams is an author and activist, known for her writing about humans’ relationship to the natural world.

So, what is a Glorian? Tempest Williams said the word came to her in a dream.

“For me, a Glorian has become an encounter; a place where my attention is so fully fused with a person, a place, an animal, a moment that everything else disappears,” she said.

This Friday, Mar. 6, the Boulder Bookstore is bringing Terry Tempest Williams to Boulder for an author talk at First Congregational Church at 6:30 p.m.
