OutSources: Shirley Delta Blow Reads to you!

A special holiday treat! Shirley Delta Blow reads to kids in schools and libraries and is reading to us all tonight!

Shirley is famous locally as a storyteller, historian, author, comedian, hostess, MC and drag queen. She has read to many children and parents at libraries around the metro area. She grew up being read to and enjoying libraries so she spreads the joy she found as a child to all. Shirley loves stories and storytelling-and you can tell it: “I love that story!”

Stories for tonight are like an audio hug to all who have felt different in any way at some point in their lives. Listen in, gather up the kids or just go back in time and enjoy.

To see Shirley in person, she will be at the Lafayette public library at 11 a.m. 12/31/18 for the Noon Year’s Eve story time and April 13 for National Unicorn day.

Shirley’s selections during this episode:

  • Red, A Crayon’s Story by Michael Hall
  • Be Who You Are by Todd Parr
  • Perfectly Norman by Tom Percival
  • Not Quite Narwhal by Jessie Sima.
