Outsources: Rafi Daugherty – Gestational Fathers and Queering Parenthood

KGNU’s Angela Palermo talks with Rafi Daugherty, a Denver area transgender man who gave birth to a healthy daughter in September 2015.  We discuss Rafi’s growing up in the Orthodox Jewish tradition, his attempts to negotiate between his evolving trans and Jewish identities, his decision to become a “gestational father” and his experiences with the medical profession as a “man giving birth.”  More about Rafi’s journey.
