Initiated Ordinance 308 is a citizen initiative that you’ll see on your upcoming ballot. If passed, the fur ban would prohibit businesses from making and selling, distributing, or trading a large range of animal products within Denver’s city limits. Boulder was the first city in Colorado to ban fur sales in 2021.

To discuss 308, KGNU’s Jackie Sedley was joined in-studio by two individuals – one advocating for voters to say YES to the ordinance, and one advocating for NO votes.

Natalie Fulton is with Pro Animal Future, a grassroots organization that has over 150 volunteers in Denver. Landon Gates is with Hands off my Hat, an organized effort to preserve the animal fur sales in Denver.
