There are so many things to worry about in our ever-complicated world, but at least one of them isn’t a lack of good new music. This year, my interests vaccillated between albums that presented a “return to form” and those that completely turn traditional forms of music and genre on their head. Perhaps, as I age, I’m finding myself drawn to nostalgia through music, but also holding on to a constant interest and hope that creativity and innovation in music will always burn brightly. Lucky for me, both are alive and well in today’s music scene.
