Our Pride Month programming showcases the power of queer creativity, resistance, and joy, featuring special interviews, themed music shows, and more. KGNU is proud to stand in solidarity and celebration with our LGBTQIA+ communities.

Monday, June 2, Outsources with Karen Raforth, 6:30-7pm | Host Karen Raforth continues the Know Your History series with a look at the fight to include sexual orientation in Boulder’s Human Rights Ordinance. Through powerful stories from Glenda Russell, Karen Paget, Paula Tate, and Sue Larson, the show reflects on the grassroots activism, political backlash, and community efforts that shaped LGBTQ rights in Boulder from 1973 to 1987.
Monday, June 9, Outsources with Stoney Bertz, 6:30-7pm | Host Stoney Bertz revisits the first installment of the intersectionality series as we take time to move into Pride season intentionally thinking of how we can make space for others.
Thursday, June 12, Metro, 3:00-3:30pm | Spilling the ‘T’ with OFM: Regular hosts OFM editors Maggie and Addison speak with Kim Salvaggio, CEO of The Center on Colfax. The Center on Colfax is a collaborative leader that positively impacts the lived experience of LGBTQ+ people in Denver and Colorado by creating inclusive programs and events, fostering connections, and leveraging the individual and collective strengths of the community.
Monday, June 16, Outsources with Elise Matatall, 6:30-7pm | A re-air of a 2023 (but still immensely relevant) conversation with labor organizer and activist Jade Kelly from CWA7799.
Wednesday, June 18, A Public Affair, 8:30-9:30am | A PRIDE Panel with queer youth involved with Rocky Mountain Equality. Focusing on the joy of queerness, coming out stories, growing up queer, etc.
Thursday, June 19, Morning Magazine, 8:00-8:30am | Boulder Courthouse is now a National Historic Landmark.
Monday, June 23, Outsources with Kelly, 6:30-7pm | Spotlighting the “I” in LGBTQIA+: Karen Raforth interviews intersex activist, educator, and filmmaker Pidgeon Pagonis. Originally aired in October 2018 but still as relevant as ever!
Monday, June 30, Outsources with Ryan Bronson, 6:30-7pm | An interview with Andrew Kramer, the co-founder and director of Camp Indigo, a summer day camp for trans and gender expansive youth.
