What shoes do you host on KGNU and how long have you been with the station?

Sleepless Nights, Dusty Grooves. 6 years.

Who is your favorite artist and/or album of all time?

That’s a hard call, but if I had to pick one, it’d be Kind of Blue by Miles Davis. It’s a masterclass in tone, space, and feel; the kind of record that never stops teaching you something new about sound.

What is your Zodiac sign and what (if anything) does it say about you?

Cancer: deeply emotional and driven by feel. I let intuition guide my mixes, chasing the kind of sound that moves people from the inside out. Blame it on the moon.

If you could have any musician’s record collection, whose would it be?

If I could have any musician’s record collection, I’d choose Henry Rollins, Questlove, and Miles Davis. Rollins’ collection is fearless and intense, full of records that challenge and inspire. Questlove’s crates span every genre and era, each one a lesson in groove and musical storytelling. And Miles Davis’ collection would be a masterclass in emotion, nuance, and timeless feel; the kind of music that never stops teaching.

What song do you never get tired of playing on air?

I never get tired of playing “Fiesta Pagana” by Mägo de Oz. It’s a raucous, celebratory journey that hits with energy, melody, and storytelling every single time; the kind of track that makes you want to play it on repeat.

What is something most people would be surprised to learn about you?

Most people would be surprised to learn that I sold grilled cheese sandwiches while following the Grateful Dead on tour from 1987 to 1990. It was a wild, formative time, part music pilgrimage, part entrepreneurial hustle, and I would not trade a single melted slice or show for anything.
