Miscast 2020 on September 30 to Benefit Denver Actor’s Fund – Building Community by Helping One Actor at a Time

The Denver Actor’s Fund is a unique, local nonprofit that has raised and given nearly four hundred thousand dollars of monetary support to local actors and performers who have been afflicted by medical costs and are in need. The Denver Actor’s Fund was founded by John Moore, who had spent many years writing about the Denver Theater community for the Denver Post. His relationship with the community and the needs of actors inspired him to help create the Denver Actor’s Fund which has since grown to help dozens of actors in need. In doing so, it has inspired and reinforced the sense of community in the Denver theatre scene. And on Monday night, September 30, there will be a fundraiser at the Aurora Fox Arts Center to benefit the Denver Actor’s Fund. It’s a whimsical night of great local talent performing songs you may have never expected them to sing. The show is called, appropriately enough, Miscast, and that’ll be Monday evening. KGNU’s Veronica Straight-Lingo had a chance to speak with John Moore about the work that the Denver Actors Fund does and what you can catch at Miscast.
