Since immigrating from Nigeria in 2016, Okporo has written three books — Bed 26: A Memoir of an African Man’s Asylum in the United States (2018), Compassion Is Worth More! Using Your Civil Power to Create Change (2020), and most recently Asylum: A Memoir and Manifesto (2023).
