Lemon Tree Walk for Peace and Solidarity

The Lemon Tree Group is an interfaith gathering initiated by the Congregation Nevei Kodesh in Boulder CO to promote Jewish-Palestinian dialogue. On Sept 11th, they are holding a walk beginning at The Boulder Islamic Center with stops at The Congregation Har Hashem and St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. From St. Andrews Church, walkers will take buses to the Pearl St. Mall and hold a ceremony that will feature speakers and music in front of the Boulder Court House. The “walk is an interfaith event designed to build bridges between people who normally do not meet and talk. Our community is healthier when we foster solidarity, interdependence and friendship amongst all our citizens.”

Miriam Schiff spoke with Rabbi Tirzah Firestone.
