People hear the term “end-of-life choices” but don’t know what it means to move from serious illness to death – whether it’s a quick unexpected trip or a long complicated journey. Most of us will have more complex deaths and more resources than we can imagine.

For this edition of Kim Mooney’s quarterly programming on death and dying, Mooney sits down with Dr. Anne Giesen, who has enjoyed the challenges and rewards of practicing geriatric medicine and end-of-life medicine for over 20 years, to discuss end-of-life choices. They talk about how powerful information can be in end-of-life situations, options at each stage, and why each medical option and quality-of-life choice have to go hand in hand.
