Titan’s Last Successful Dive to the Titanic

Dr. Alan Stern, author, planetary scientist will give his first public talk about his experiences on the Titan submersible’s last successful dive to the Titanic, before the vessel’s catastrophic implosion. Stern, the late OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, and three NASA mission specialists collected soil samples, photographed sea life and spent four hours at the Titanic. Alan will share his stories, insights and images from the Titan dive experience, and reflect on the risks of exploration.

Dr. Stern is Mission Leader of the spacecraft that went to Pluto, and is slated to fly on Virgin Galactic as a research astronaut.
