The Cat’s Glasses at Mercury Cafe

March 5 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm MST

The Cat’s Glasses (formerly the Jon Gauer Octet) will perform a set of original music at Mercury Cafe on Tuesday 3/5. The band is a genre-bending ensemble led by trombonist and composer Jon Gauer. Is it jazz? Is it funk? Is it prog rock? Is it fusion? Whatever you want to call it, it’ll be an exciting set of original music performed by some of Denver’s finest young musicians. Their first recording project, “Silver in Red”, can be heard on all streaming services as well as on Youtube, and several new recordings are due to be released in the next few months.
