Swallow Hill Music Presents TANASI (Anya Hinkle, Mary Lucey, and Billy Cardine) with Sally Van Meter!
About TANASI
Beyond the mountains, more mountains. ~ Haitian proverb

TANASI is an award-winning worldgrass trio of three celebrated Asheville, NC-area roots artists. Their sound features the tight sister harmonies of MerleFest-winning songwriter Anya Hinkle and Mary Lucey (Biscuit Burners, Uncle Earl) with the inimitable dobro musings of Billy Cardine, who Jerry Douglas calls “an amazing Dobro player, fluent in everything that I do and everybody that has come before.”

Members of the trio have toured the world over from Japan to India to Europe and across the US on stages such as Bonnaroo, The Grand Ole Opry, MerleFest, Ryman Auditorium, Carnegie Hall and Rockygrass. Over three years of performing together, the trio has been compelling their audiences with their own unique world-inspired mountain music in listening rooms, festival stages and theaters across the US and Europe.

About Sally Van Meter
Sally is a Grammy-winning artist, who lives in Lyons and was a member of the Good Ol Persons (Kathy Kallick, Laurie Lewis). She has performed and recorded with many of the best including Jorma Kaukonen and Tony Rice. This event will showcase two of the world’s most respected Dobro players and the very best of the Dobro universe.
