Let’s get together and play some records! Sips & Spins is Swallow Hill’s record club. Each edition will feature a member of our community sharing songs on vinyl* from their personal collection, paired with a drink mixed especially for the event from our Cafe staff.
This edition of Sips & Spins is The Many sounds of Drone and Ambient with Miguel Otárola.
Miguel Otárola is a writer, reporter and DJ here in Denver. He was born in Chile but grew up mostly in Arizona, and started his career as a news reporter in Minneapolis before working at Colorado Public Radio. He is now a freelance writer – he’s written for NPR Music, New York Times Magazine and Resident Advisor – and producer of the Loops newsletter and podcast, where he interviews local artists and bands.
