Say She She, the soulful female-led trio, stands rock solid on discodelic duty with their boundary-breaking sophomore album Silver. “Tell them what you want – the time will soon be gone…” Like the lyrics from their latest single C’est si Bon (it’s so good!) that feature on the album, the honeyed harmonizing trio – consisting of the three strong voices of Piya Malik (El Michels Affair staple feature and former backing singer for Chicano Batman), Sabrina Mileo Cunningham and Nya Gazelle Brown who front the band – stay true to their word. These women have something to say and they are not afraid to play with the medium. Leaning into their “boundary-busting discodelic soul” (The Guardian), their flawless harmonies twist and writhe, capturing listener’s hearts with buttery vocals, fat funky basslines, catchy hooks and up-tempo grooves.
