Poetry Reading with Poet and Translator Kristine Doll

Kristine Doll is a poet and translator whose work has been published internationally. “My Friends” from her first collection Speak to Me Again was nominated for the Pushcart Prize in Poetry. Following the publication of her second book of poetry, The Light of Ordinary Days (The Seventh Quarry Press, 2019), she was Poet of the Month in the magazine’s September 2022 issue. https://seventhquarrypress.com/pages/poet-of-the-month
Doll’s translations include poetry collections in English/Spanish/Catalan and have been published worldwide. Her first book of translations from Catalan to English Joan Alcover: Elegies (Cross-Cultural Communications, Merrick NY, 2004) was funded by a grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Balearic Islands and the Catalan cultural agency, Ramon Llull and featured art work by the Catalan painter, Eduardo Arranz-Bravo.
Her most recent translation of poetry from English to Spanish is Stanley Barkan’s Still More Mishpocheh/Aún Más Mishpocheh forthcoming from Hebel Ediciones, Chile. She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Bogdani Prestigios Prize from the International Association of Writers and an Honorary Diploma from the Kyiv chapter of the National Writers’ Union of Ukraine.
