Kristine Doll is a poet and translator whose work has been published internationally. “My Friends” from her first collection Speak to Me Again was nominated for the Pushcart Prize in Poetry. Doll’s translations include poetry collections in English/Spanish/Catalan and have been published worldwide. Her first book of translations from Catalan to English Joan Alcover: Elegies (Cross-Cultural Communications, Merrick NY, 2004) was funded by a grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Balearic Islands and the Catalan cultural agency, Ramon Llull and featured art work by the Catalan painter, Eduardo Arranz-Bravo.
Her most recent translation of poetry from English to Spanish is Stanley Barkan’s Still More Mishpocheh/Aún Más Mishpocheh forthcoming from Hebel Ediciones, Chile. She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Bogdani Prestigios Prize from the International Association of Writers and an Honorary Diploma from the Kyiv chapter of the National Writers’ Union of Ukraine.
