Mackenzie Rae & Buckshot Moon and Good Music Medicine at The Velvet Elk Lounge

July 13 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm MDT

Mackenzie Rae & Buckshot Moon are an Americana band based in Boulder, Colorado. From tender ballads to raucous rockabilly, they tell stories through rich harmonies, nuanced instrumentals, and a unique balance of high energy and sensitivity.

Good Music Medicine is an original Roots Rock band based in Boulder, Colorado playing venues along the front range. Thomas Dow on Lead Vocals and Guitar. Scott Wright on Drums and Vocals. Kit Sawyer of Lead Guitar and Vocals. Rick Franz on Bass Guitar and Vocals. These days GMM is also looking to tour more broadly and reaching out to mountain communities and in all directions. Good Music Medicine is a quartet led by Thomas Dow, the lead singer and writer. Occasionally they add horns or percussion when budgets allow for a more robust party. GMM plays to “fit the room”, at appropriate volumes and feel, so we can provide ambiance behind a dinner, or rock a huge field. Whatever is needed! GGM plays; bars, restaurants, theaters, festivals, fairs, work parties, private parties and more! The music is funky, bluesy, dance-able, hooky, jammy, and Thomas speaks heart-warmingly to audiences, uplifting and raising the vibration. The band is tons of fun! They are consistently invited back to the venues they play. “We always entertain and give a lot of love to patrons and hosts”, says Thomas. “We actively advertise all our gigs and draw upon our fan base to fill shows.” Good Music Medicine is looking forward to entertaining you!

Bar opens at 5 PM and happy hour from open to 7 PM. (21+) The Velvet Elk Lounge does not allow minors – No Exceptions.
