KGNU Presents Los Cheesies Flashback 60s, 70s, 80s New Year’s Party

Let us take you back in time to relive the 60s, 70s, and 80s on New Year’s Eve like no other!!!! We bring you famous musical artist impersonators, a psychedelic video special effects show, costume and dance contest, and a midnight champagne toast. Throughout the night Los Cheesies bring you impersonations of Grease, Pink Floyd, Jilly Bowl, (female version of Billy Joel), Jim Morrison, Elvis Presley, and others, in a musical performance tribute like no other. Some popular original songs will be performed as well. The Saints will be doing a 60s/70s motown soul show to kick off the evening and DJ Drake will be emceeing and mixing some 60s. 70s, 80s throughout the night.

Los Cheesies

Los Cheesies is an insanely wild, high-energy band of both gringos and Latinos, uniting to deliver a unique and super fun, comical, and upbeat style to both our English and Spanish-speaking friends. OUR FIVE PART HARMONY VOCALS, SHREDDING GUITARS AND HORN SECTION WILL BLOW YOUR MIND!!! 11 years of performing and songwriting together has established LOS CHEESIES as one of the most powerful and unique show experiences in Colorado. You’ll find yourself humming our original Fusion Rock and Roll, Ska, Reggae, Rap, and Psychedelic Rock tunes when you wake in the middle of the night… and laughing at our “Weird Al Yankovic” / Cheesiefied hits from the 80’s and 90’s! LOS CHEESIES’ first album “QUÉWHAT?” in 2016, and released our second album “Smoking Time” in Summer 2023.

The Saints

What happens when you bring together 7 musicians from different musical backgrounds and experiences? The Saints is what happens! Playing originals and cover tunes, they mix it up, playing funk, blues, R&B, gospel, and rock. The Saints four vocalists all sing lead, providing an exceptional variety of sound for the listener, and their four part harmonies will absolutely lift your spirits. The joy they experience while playing is obvious and extremely contagious. With two guitarists trading leads and the rhythm section holding down the bottom, The Saints will take you down to New Orleans for a full night of groovin’ revelry. They’ll then take you to church with their gospel to expand your joy even further, all in one night! Check them out. You’ll be glad you did
