Duncan Coker album release with guest Katie Mintle @ Roots Music Project

April 5 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm MDT

Roots Music Project is proud to host a special evening celebrating the album release from talented local artist Duncan Coker.

It’s a night of new music and good vibes from two gifted local artists.

Katie Mintle
Katie is an artist, singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist. She has been performing music since 2007, busking with her little harp on the streets of Boulder since she was 11 years old. Her unique brand of entertainment fuses Celtic harp and acoustic guitar music with haunting vocals to tell engaging stories and create a beautiful and soothing atmosphere.

Duncan Coker
Coker was born in the South Carolina lowlands and raised in New Jersey. He was the standout soprano in his all-boys church choir. But when Coker’s voice dropped an octave, he left the pews for the basement, plugging in his Fender Squier and turning the amp up loud. As a Jersey teen, Springsteen’s working-class anthems were too cliché, so Coker tuned the radio dial to 102.7 to hear Floyd, Zeppelin, Yes and Rush on WNEW. Classic rock before it was classic. To this day, those timeless chords shapes still evoke his childhood bedroom—radio blaring, guitar in hand, windows wide open to the river running out back of his simple Cape Cod-style house

All ages welcome.
