Dance for Justice and Liberation in Gaza

March 30 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm MDT

We welcome you to an *Ecstatic Dance* with 100% of the proceeds are donated to The Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS). Please join us to dance in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

DJ Chris Cox and Sami T will set the space for us to unite in movement.
*Ecstatic Dance is a space for free-form dancing, self expression through movement with evocative music. No steps to be learned, no judgement on the dance floor and beyond.
From 6-7 we will hear from:
*Linda Badwan, a Palestinian activist and Organizer, born in East Jerusalem. She lived through the first Intifada in the village where she grew up near Ramallah, in the West Bank in Palestine.
* Micha Kurz is born and raised in Jerusalem, an ex-IDF soldier, co-founder of Breaking the Silence, and an outspoken voice against the occupation.
* Irina Karic is a genocide survivor from Bosnia and Herzegovina and humanitarian aid worker who spent years in Palestine.
* Doug Red Tail Pineda, author of Think Indigenous and an active voice against colonization worldwide.
Gila and Anastacia will lead us through a process of intentional movement to bring us into deeper awareness of our personal power and unite us as a collective of change makers.
At sunset we will break bread together to acknowledge Iftar, the ceremonial breaking of the daily fast during Ramadan.
During the dance, two separate rooms will be available. One to sink in deeper with each other and the speakers (each speaker will be available for a deeper community conversation for 30 minutes each) and the other will be offered as a space for community story sharing.
Location: 770 South Broadway, Denver.
