Studio Arts Boulder invites visitors and community members to make clay pinch pots by hand throughout the [placeholder] event weekend. These pinch pots will be glazed and fired by Studio Arts staff. Each pot will be imprinted by its maker – from fingerprints left in the clay to the pot’s unique size and dimensionality. Finished pinch pots will be used to make a public wall art piece that will be displayed at Studio Art’s new space at Diagonal Crossing. The wall-art will be a 3D visual representation of community… an artfully rendered collection of individual pots/people that comes together to create something truly beautiful.
