Issues faced by Denver’s Westwood neighborhood

Westwood in South West Denver has a large Latino population as well as immigrants from Africa and Asia.  Councilman Paul Lopez who grew up in the neighborhood represents the district on the Denver City Council.  He says it’s a victim of poor planning and he says the physical environment is negatively impacting people’s health. He talks about the issues facing Westwood in the Summer edition of Health Elevations, the quarterly journal by the Colorado Health Foundation.
