Tish Beauford speaks with two local immigration attorneys about the current system that is forcing many immigrants to seek sanctuary in faith communities. Aaron Elinoff has represented individuals from all walks of life in criminal, family, immigration and civil matters in front of tribunals ranging from municipal court to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Bryce Erick Downer is an advocacy-oriented attorney specializing in immigration and naturalization law. He has worked with community organizations, foreign consulate offices, labor unions, and congressional offices throughout the country. He advocates for immigrant rights before USCIS, ICE, Department of Justice, Board of Immigration Appeals, Federal District Court and the Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a recipient of the Best Advocate Award in the Annual McNichols Moot Court Competition, and was an Ohio State University Delegate to the Council of World Affairs 2008.
