Hear from one of the staff members affected by the dismantling of CU Boulder’s community engagement center

CU Boulder has dismantled its decade-old community engagement center.

CU Engage brought together the university’s many outreach programs under one academic roof.

According to Boulder Reporting Lab, many staff were given less than an hour’s notice before the announcement went public on Thursday, March 20.

One of those staff members was Sabrina Sideris, director of INVST.

All other CU Engage programs were reassigned to other departments, according to Boulder Reporting Lab, INVST was terminated outright.

Sideris joined KGNU’s Jackie Sedley in the studio to speak about her experience and the program’s dismantling.
