Yet another local group has been impacted by federal funding cuts.
The Foundations for Leaders Organizing for Water and Sustainability, or FLOWS, is one of the few environmental and climate justice organizations in Boulder County, and the longest running. It was founded in 2016 at CU Boulder, and has helped to bridge social justice and environmental issues ever since.
Just this week, the feds cut their $250,000 Environmental Protection Agency grant.
KGNU’s Jackie Sedley spoke with FLOWS founder Michelle Gabrieloff-Parish about what the cuts mean for the organization’s future, as well as Boulder’s climate justice progress.
