Father of Boulder High Student Who Died In Car Accident Talks About Finding Positivity In Face Of Tragedy

As Colorado processes yet another mass shooting, KGNU News Director Shannon Young talks with someone who has lived experience with the sudden death of a loved one.

Phil Calitre created a foundation in honor of his daughter Cara who died in a car accident in January 2020 when she was 16. The foundation, Cara’s Wave of Hope, is hosting a 5K Fun Run and a 2K walk this Saturday at Boulder High.
