The League of Women Voters was founded nearly 100 years ago by those who believed in the power of women to create a more perfect democracy and who fought hard for voting rights for women. Since 1920, the mission of the League has been to empower voters and defend democracy by harnessing the power of the vote to realize our vision of an America where everyone has the right, the desire, the knowledge and the confidence to participate.
Former LWV National President Elisabeth MacNamara will speak about the unique role of the League in this political climate, and our best opportunities to advocate in our local communities at an event on April 11th, organized by the League of Women Voters of Boulder County.
