Emily Griffith Technical College – educating Denver students for 100 years

For the past 100 years the Emily Griffith Technical College in Denver has provided vocational education for students in the city and in recent years has become the hub for English language education for refugees and newly arrived immigrants.

They have been celebrating their centenary throughout 2016 and it culminated recently in a student appreciation ceremony at the school. KGNU’s Sean Hedden was there and speaks with students Solomon Okhihan, Luis Barraza, Alondra Zubia and Lina Karash.
