KGNU’s Richard Kieffer speaks with Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle about Boulder ballot measure 1 A that would replace an existing .185 percent flood sales tax, expiring in 2019, with a tax of the same value. The $50 million in revenue over five years would fund the building of an alternative sentencing facility and pay for upgrades to the Boulder County Jail.
