Last month, we reported on the low and stagnant rate of recycling and composting in Colorado. It’s been stuck at about 16% for several years. That info comes to us from an annual report researched and written by Eco-Cycle, Boulder County’s nonprofit recycler and COPIRG the Colorado Public Interest Research Group.
Boulder County’s recycling and composting rates are better than the statewide average. To expalin why and describe some of the programs and initiatives in the county, we spoke with Eco-Cycle Deputy Director Marti Matsch and Executive Director Suzanne Jones.
