Boulder County horse therapy helps kids with disabilities connect

Miracles Therapeutic Riding Center in Lafayette was founded in 2006 by PATH Intl. Registered Therapeutic Instructor and Executive Director Chris Griffith. For many years, Chris taught lessons and handled the day-to-day operations on her own. Between the years of 2015 and 2018, our program began to grow, bringing on four new part-time instructors and introducing two new horses to our herd. In 2016, the organization officially transitioned to a 501(c3) non-profit and formed a Board of Directors consisting of individuals that make up all aspects of Miracles, from horse owners to volunteers to the parents of riders. This diversity will allow the mission of our program to be viewed from all perspectives in order to ensure that we keep everyone’s opinion close-to-heart as we develop in the future.Interview by Steve Miller
