Dot Org: Screen Free Week

Screen-free week in Lafayette gives youth a good reason to turn off entertainment screen media and turn on life. Students in grades K through 12 will get a free passes to the Recreation Center, the library, WOW Children’s Museum and more. The hope is that youth will discover health ways to have fun. Rates of obesity rise as younger and younger kids spend more and more time in front of screens. Debbie Wilmot, Public Information Officer for the city has details.
