Dot Org: Chocolate Lovers’ Fling to benefit SPAN

The Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence is hosting the 35th annual Chocolate Lovers’ Fling on Saturday February 6th at the Omni Interlocken Resort and Hotel in Broomfield. Mary Pierce with SPAN says the organization has been around for 37 years “We operate a shelter that houses 27 people of all genders – predominately women and children.” They also offer other services such as legal services and counseling and anti-violence outreach and education in the wider community.

The Chocolate Lovers’ Fling is their biggest fundraiser and Pierce says the event is now a gala style event that features local chocolate makers and a full sit-down dinner, wine and beer tastings, dancing and live music from the Mark Diamond band and more.
