Photo Courtesy of Nashville African American Wind Symphony, The Nashville African American Wind Symphony performs Sunday, February 19th at 3:00 p.m. at Macky Auditorium in Boulder in a free concert, presented by the 2023 Freedom Fund of the Boulder NAACP.

The two-time Grammy-nominated Nashville African American Wind Symphony will be in Boulder this Sunday. They will play a free concert at CU Boulder’s Mackey auditorium. 

KGNU’s Michele Simpson spoke with Bruce Ayers who created and conducts NAAWS and two of it’s members, Marissa King and Stephanie Richardson.

She has worked in KGNU's news department since 2021 as a reporter, editor, and daily news producer. In all her work, she strives to produce thought-provoking, trustworthy journalism that makes other people's stories feel personal. In addition to audio production, Kenyon runs KGNU's news internship program and oversees the department's digital engagement.
