“Lug Your Mug” Incentivizes Shift Away From Disposable Coffee Cups

Sometimes even small incentives – like free coffee – can help to form green habits. It’s estimated that in the U.S. more than 50 billion paper coffee cups with lids are thrown away every year. On the CU Boulder campus, one student group is trying to make an impact on this by encouraging students to bring their own mug. CU student Hayley Tornquist brings us this story.
