Boulder ballots are going to look a bit different this year for the first-ever direct election of the city’s mayor. If you’re unfamiliar with ranked choice voting, also known as instant runoff voting, we have a couple of guests in the studio to break down the process.

Celeste Landry has been a member of the Boulder County League of Women Voters for over two decades and is a founding member of their Voting Methods Team. Molly Fitzpatrick is the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder, the county’s top election official.

They spoke with Morning Magazine host Ivonne Olivas about how the new method works and about an events they are co-hosting tomorrow.
