Conference on World Affairs: Lydia Murithi – Women and Maternal Health Globally

As part of our coverage of the Conference on World Affairs, we welcome Lydia Murithi, Director of the Beyond Bias Project with Pathfinder International who is a social and behavioral scientist with over a decade of experience as a global health researcher and program implementer. She has devoted her work to sexual and reproductive health and rights, maternal and child health, HIV & AIDS, and gender. Lydia has worked extensively in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and the United States. She joined Pathfinder in 2018 as the project director for their Beyond Bias Project.

Lydia holds a PhD in public policy and administration with a special focus on maternal and child health policy from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has her MPP from George Mason University and her BA in economics and sociology from University of Nairobi.
