Colorado Emissions Bill Offers Consumer Discounts on Electric Alternatives

The state legislature is in the final days of the session and the pressure is on to tie up loose ends and pass pending bills. One bill that passed Saturday attempts to address poor air quality along the Front Range. SB 16 seeks steep reductions in greenhouse gas emissions while making appropriations to fund specific measures.

KGNU’s Shannon Young spoke with one of the bill’s sponsors, Rep. Karen McCormick (D-Longmont).
