Civic Action Calendar for May 28th 2026 KGNU News
On the weekly Civic Action Calendar, we’ll share information about actions and events hosted by community-based organizations across the Front Range.
Tomorrow at 11 a.m. – Indivisible CD8 will hold a “We have the Receipt$ Protest” in front of Congressman Gabe Evans’ Northglenn office.
Attendees will gather outside the office and bring personal receipts to show how expensive energy, gas, health care, and grocery costs have gotten. That’s at 10701 Melody Dr. in Northglenn. More info at mobilize.US/indivisible.
Saturday at 12 p.m. – Longmont Leads with Love will hold their weekly demonstration at 6th and Main Street.
The group says they aim to stand up for kindness toward all people and the planet, send a progressive message, and stand in solidarity with friends. More info at facebook.com/LongmontLeadsWithLoveWeeklyVigil.
Saturday at 1 p.m. – IndivisibleNOCO and Principles Over Party will host an event called “From Insurrection to Inspiration – Images of Hope”
Photojournalist Nate Gowdy will premiere a photo journey and narrative from January 6th through his recent ICE coverage in Minneapolis. They will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for the Larimer County Food Bank. That’s at 533 Grant Ave. in Loveland. More info at indivisibleNOCO.com.
Saturday at 6 p.m. – The Notes of Dissent Marching Band will perform a Resistance Concert at the Canyon Theater in Boulder.
Notes of Dissent is an activist marching band that plays at protests and other community events across the Front Range. For this participatory concert, they will bring resistance music to the stage, including historic anthems, modern protest songs, and joyful noisemakers. Monday, June 1 – Aurora Unidos CSO will begin their Week of Action Against ICE Flights.
The group will hold a banner drop Monday at 3 p.m., an Art Make on Tuesday at 7 p.m., an email and call-in session on Wednesday at 9 a.m., and a demonstration at the CU Regents meeting on Thursday at 12 p.m. The group demands that Key Lime Air and jetCenters of Colorado divest from ICE deportation activities. On Wednesday, June 3 at 6 p.m, the Trust Brigade will host a canvassing training.
Trust Brigade is a volunteer-powered deep canvassing operation focused on Colorado’s 8th Congressional District, one of the most competitive swing districts in the country. Their mission is to have 7,500 genuine, heart-to-heart talks before the 2026 election, to help bridge divides, inspire action, and remind people that their voice matters.
