City Council Homelessness Study Session

KGNU’s Roz Brown reports on the Boulder City Concil homelessness study session held August 31st. The meeting comes after a 50-member delegation returned from a fact finding mission to Oregon.

The delegation visited Portland and Eugene to find out how those cities were handling their homeless in an effort to form a plan for the Boulder area. The picture above is of a small deck shelter in Dignity Village located in Portland. There are a number of plans being studied including tiny houses and long term solutions based on current housing models already in place.
